U13 Kansas City Cup WinnersThe Minnesota TwinStars Academy U13 Boys suited up to win the KC Champion’s Cup Final against the KC Blaze Liverpool over the weekend of April 10 -12. The TSA U13 Boys’ team geared up to face off against great teams this past weekend for the KC Champion’s Cup. The TwinStars Academy’s Boys were situated in pool A as they first squared off against teams such as Toca FC and Kansas Rush Academy. Wins of 2–1 over both Toca FC and Kansas Rush Academy sent the TSA Supra Boys to Finals to meet the winner of Pool B.

On Sunday April 12th, 2015, the TSA Boys fought a powerful game against KC Blaze Liverpool, netting the ball twice in the Blaze Liverpool goal for a 2–0 win, making them the 2015 Silver I KC Champions.

The U13 TwinStars Boys are led by Coach Alex Bunbury, the Canadian International Hall of Famer, who began playing soccer when he was the same age as the winners of the 2015 KC Champion’s Cup. Coach Alex’s professional soccer career found him in the Canadian Soccer League, the MLS where he was named the Best Foreign Player in the Portuguese League, and with West Ham United in England.
“We love the game--as cliché as it may sound, we DO eat, sleep, and breathe it! We are here to play beautiful soccer and, if winning is what we are getting, then so be it, but first, we emphasize respect for the game, our supporters, and our teammates.” said Coach Alex when asked what his vision is for the Club.

Coach Alex is the Head Coach for the Minnesota TwinStars Academy U13 Supra Boys and the Minnesota TwinStars FC NPSL Semi-professional Men. He hopes to share his playing knowledge with his players to win many tournaments with the youth and men’s division of Minnesota TwinStars FC.

After taking the KC tournament, the TSA U13 Boys hope to take their talent to even more tournaments around the country! With the fast- approaching Minnesota State Cup coming May 1st to May 3rd, the TSA Boys are confident in their play and hope to take the tournament by surprise.
